Collection

Our collection consists of a spectrum of Stanisław Szukalski’s visual art works: sculpture, relief, drawing and photography. However, in order not to separate art from the man and to attempt to tell the story of Stach from Warta as fully as possible, historical objects are equally important to us: photographs, documents, letters, films and the intangible heritage that Szukalski left behind – records of knowledge, ideas, concepts and values. We also wish to present the works and activities of the artists of the Szukalski Clan bearing the coat of arms “Horned Heart,” whose creator and mentor was Stanisław Szukalski.

Furthermore, the accounts of witnesses to his life and work are important to us, as well as the invaluable role that his Heirs played at the end of the Master’s life.

Sculptures

Stanisław Szukalski created many exceptional sculptures, reflecting his extraordinary talent, inspired by Slavic mythology, Polish culture, pre-Columbian style, and global symbolism.

Drawings

Szukalski’s drawings were characterized by precision and detail. The artist created both realistic, though highly stylized portraits, as well as more abstract compositions dominated by motifs inspired by ancient mythology and cultures. His sketches were often very complex, filled with intricate details, demonstrating deep knowledge of anatomy, as well as artistic imagination.
